Quick Fixes
The alarm didn't go off.
- Open Settings > Notifications > RiseReps and confirm Allow Notifications, Time Sensitive Notifications, and Critical Alerts are on.
- Make sure your phone is not in Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode that silences RiseReps.
- Check that your ringer/silent switch isn't muting the device. RiseReps respects iOS's media volume.
- Confirm the alarm was scheduled for the right day and time — open the alarm in the app to verify.
- If you force-quit the app from the app switcher, iOS may not deliver scheduled notifications. Avoid swiping RiseReps closed.
The camera isn't counting my reps.
- Lighting. Vision body-pose works best in even, front-facing light. Avoid backlit windows behind you.
- Distance. Stand 5–6 feet from the camera so your full body is in frame.
- Form. Each exercise has a recognized motion arc. Slow down — full range of motion counts more reliably than fast partial reps.
- Permission. Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera and make sure RiseReps is enabled.
- If you genuinely can't use the camera (e.g., low-light hotel room), the app supports a long-press dismissal from the camera-permission-denied state.
The app crashed or got stuck.
- Force-quit RiseReps and reopen it. Your alarms, streak, and stats are stored locally and will not be lost.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Check the App Store for a pending RiseReps update.
- If it keeps happening, email support@risereps.app with your iOS version, iPhone model, and what you were doing right before the crash.
I bought Pro but the features aren't unlocked.
- Open RiseReps > Settings > Restore Purchases.
- Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used for the purchase.
- Check Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions to confirm RiseReps Pro is listed and active.
- If it still doesn't unlock, email us with the date of purchase and the Apple ID email — we'll work with Apple to resolve it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
- Open Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone.
- Tap RiseReps Pro.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Apple — not RiseReps — handles billing,
renewals, and refund requests. For refunds visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
How does Accountability Partner work?
- Both you and your partner need an active iCloud account on your iPhones.
- Open Partner Center in the app and tap Invite Partner. Share the link via Messages, AirDrop, or any app.
- Your partner taps the link, opens RiseReps, and accepts.
- Once linked, you'll see each other's daily completion status, streak, and can send a "nudge" if your partner sleeps in.
- Pairing is a Pro feature. The pairing data is exchanged through your private iCloud — RiseReps does not run a server, and we cannot read it.
- To unlink, open Partner Center and tap Unlink.
How do I change my exercise, alarm sound, or rep target?
- Exercise: tap an alarm and choose between Push-ups, Squats, or Jumping Jacks.
- Alarm sound: RiseReps > Settings > Alarm Sound.
- Rep target: rep targets adapt to your level via the progression system. You can override per-alarm in the alarm editor.
How do I delete my data?
Nearly all RiseReps data is stored locally on your device. To delete it:
- Open RiseReps > Settings > Reset App to wipe local data, or
- Delete RiseReps from your home screen — iOS removes all app data automatically.
- If you've paired a partner, also tap Unlink Partner first so the iCloud-shared record is removed.
Can I use RiseReps on iPad or Apple Watch?
RiseReps is iPhone-only at launch. iPad and Apple Watch support are not yet available. Let us know if you'd like them — feature requests genuinely shape the roadmap.
Is my camera footage stored or uploaded?
No. RiseReps uses Apple's on-device Vision body-pose framework. Frames are analyzed in real time and discarded.
Nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted — not by us, not by anyone.
